Named after the famed local area code, 805 Kitchen provides Cal Poly with a contemporary dining experience, satisfying its hunger for local, fresh, sustainable, nutritious and delicious fare served in an atmosphere that embraces the lifestyle of the Central Coast. Conveniently located in the University Union neighborhood, it features five unique food platforms and a rotating menu that includes sustainable and allergen-free options and a variety of authentic cuisines. 805 Kitchen is Cal Poly’s only residential dining hall and offers students, faculty and staff the best value on campus with all-you-care-to-eat for one affordable price.

Chef’s Table

Every Wednesday outside 805 Kitchen in the University Union a Campus Dining Chef showcases their culinary mettle with a dish of their own design. Past Chef Tables included tasty salmon cakes, wild mushroom risotto, southwestern sandwiches and Chinese hot pots.

Midnight Breakfast

Every quarter during dead week Campus Dining teams up with the Inter Housing Council to put out an amazing breakfast spread from 9:30 p.m. until midnight. The chefs break out all your breakfast favorites including waffle sticks. It’s a perfect way to fuel up for finals.

Parents Eat Free!

Hey Parents! The next time you visit your student, dine with us at 805 Kitchen for free! This program applies only to parents excluding siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives or friends and is in effect from the first day of fall classes through Friday of Spring Quarter finals. The parent and student must dine together to participate in the Parents Eat Free program.
