To increase convenience, safety and sustainability on campus, Campus Dining offers reusable tumblers to all first-year students with a dining membership. These Cal Poly-branded cups are embedded with an RFID chip that allows them to be preloaded with drinks. Users simply scan their cup at the beverage station, fill and go.
These attractive tumblers are free to first-year dining members, as well as students, faculty and staff who are part of the beverage club. For students, faculty and staff who are not on a dining plan they are available for purchase and come with five fills. Each additional refill comes at a 10% discount. Students on the First Year Plus or First Year Club dining plans for winter and spring quarter can head to the third floor of Vista Grande to reload their tumblers for winter and spring quarters.

If a tumbler is lost mid-quarter, any unused beverage fills loaded on that cup will be forfeit. A new tumbler can be purchased and loaded with fills utilizing dining dollars, or a debit card, anytime during that quarter. The new tumbler can be loaded at scheduled Loading Stations, or at Vista Grande’s 3rd floor reception desk, with any unloaded fills included in the first year dining plan.
All first-year students on a meal plan receive a free reusable tumbler. The students with a First-Year Club or Plus membership will receive a tumbler preloaded with fills that can be used at any Coca Cola Freestyle machine around campus. Students with the First-Year Basic membership will receive a tumbler that can be loaded with fills at any time using dining dollars or a debit card.
Tumblers are enabled with Validfill RFID technology. This allows cups to be recognized and filled at any Coca Cola Freestyle Machine on campus. Freestyle machines can be found in Market Grand Avenue, Vista Grande, Campus Market, and coming soon to Market Poly Canyon, and Market UU.
Tumblers can easily be washed with soap and water and are also top shelf dishwasher safe.

The tumblers can be filled at all Coca Cola Freestyle fountain machines located in Market Grand Avenue, Vista Grande, Campus Market, and coming soon to Market Poly Canyon, and Market UU.
Fills can be loaded in increments of 10, 20, or 100 at any register in Market Grand Ave, Vista Grande, Campus Market, Market Poly Canyon. Dining dollars and debit cards can be used to purchase fills.
