Campus Dining introduces new eats and new markets.

Welcome back! Campus Dining has been busy cooking up delicious food options with a big side of convenience. The big news is that we have moved Village Market in Poly Canyon Village (PCV) across the street next to Jamba Juice, expanded its offerings and opened a brand new Einstein Bros Bagel inside. Also in PCV, we have re-imagined Canyon Cafe to be the neighborhood weekend epicenter with FriYAY events and brunch on Saturday and Sundays. In the new yakʔitʸutʸu neighborhood, we added Grand Avenue Market, which will feature convenience items, made-to-order meals as well as take-and-heat options, and is slated to open this fall. Chef’s Table

Every Thursday outside 805 Kitchen in the University Union a Campus Dining Chef showcases their culinary mettle with a dish of their own design. Past Chef Tables included tasty salmon cakes, wild mushroom risotto, southwestern sandwiches and Chinese hot pots.

Cooking in the Canyon

Can’t boil an egg? Don’t know the difference between blanching and braising? No worries. Campus Dining along with Cal Poly University Housing has put together a series of one hour cooking lessons for the culinary challenged.

Now there’s one more reason to love the end of the week. It’s FriYAY themed dinners at Canyon Café. Get together with friends and celebrate counting down the weeks of the quarter with a memorable meal like a backyard BBQ, seafood boil or Hawaiian luau.

Midnight Breakfast

Every quarter during dead week Campus Dining teams up with the Inter Housing Council to put out an amazing breakfast spread from 9:30 p.m. until midnight. The chefs break out all your breakfast favorites including waffle sticks. It’s a perfect way to fuel up for finals.

Faculty and Staff Mixer

Mix and mingle with your colleagues on the first and third Thursday of every month at Myron’s. Enjoy scrumptious appetizers, refreshing beverages and two glasses of wine or beer for $5. Along with tasting and mingling, there will be giveaways and more.

Japanese Wins

Build-your-own Teriyaki bowls through the month of September at Student Choice! Choose your favorite protein and pair it with delicious sauce, toppings and maybe even a little red chili sauce to add to your fall start.

Super Food Mondays

Hate Mondays? Not anymore with Super Mood Mondays at 805 Kitchen. Our Registered Dietitian and our Executive Chef have put together a menu featuring dishes made with herbs, spices and other fresh ingredients that taste as good as it makes you feel.
