Campus Dining continues to expand and reinforce Food Safety Management System/HACCP standards and follows all FDA, local and state Department of Health regulations for preparation and service. This includes strict handwashing practices, decreased times between sanitizing surfaces and ensuring each manager is ServSafe certified.
Campus Dining has increased its already thorough sanitation protocols. High-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized more often and on a documented schedule. Cleaning Concierges, specially trained employees, are assigned sanitation duties, cleaning tables, chairs, digital ordering devices, tabletops and common touch areas.
Employee health and safety is paramount. With this in mind, all staff are given access to a supply of gloves and face coverings that are required while at work. Contactless checkout helps to lessen exposure and handwashing and safety signage is posted throughout to serve as constant reminders.
In another nod to safety and efficiency, all Campus Dining venues have switched to a cashless purchasing system. This will help to create a quicker, contactless transaction with an easily trackable paper trail and a limited risk of contamination. Cash-only customers can exchange cash for a card at Market Grand Ave or the University Store.
